Good food but tables are very close to each other giving a canteen like eating experience. Will be much better if more privacy is available because samgyetang is really delicious. Also should make it a point to refill the side dishes without prompting from customers. Generally still a good dining experience especially the free mini Yakult. Will recommend my friends and revisit again. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: SGD 80–90

If you’re seeking a meal that is hearty and true, Jiho Hanbang Samgyetang has the magic for you! We went for the Mung Bean chicken soup, with a rich, velvety broth that your soul wants to keep. The chicken was tender, just falling apart, a nourishing, comforting masterpiece right from the start. But the star on the side that you simply must try is the Kimchi Pancake that caught my eye! Fried up so golden with edges so crisp, it packs a perfect savory crunch and such a tease. Paired with great garlic clove, kimchi and white raddish banchan, it hits the exact spot, so go grab a spoon for this. Lately there’s been a ton of samgyetang spots popping up, so I figured I’d check out Jiho Samgyetang SBCD to see what’s up. First off, the place is huge. The whole vibe feels really solid—service is on point and everything just feels well put together. Then the samgyetang came out… and I was like, hold up—this is different. I’ve had it at other spots and thought they were pretty good, but this one hits different. The broth especially—way deeper flavor, super clean but rich at the same time. And the sides? Honestly next level. The kimchi and kkakdugi are insane—lowkey better than some of the legit spots I’ve had in Korea. Definitely coming back. I heard weekends are a bit more chill compared to weekdays, so I’ll probably swing by again then. For real though, the food here’s got that kick. You can tell they’re doing something right.
