Like Taking a Bite of the Best Tomato of Your Life Today, I tried shakshuka for the very first time — real shakshuka, prepared from the recipe of the Israeli owner himself. I had eaten “shakshuka” before, but now I realize those were only imitations. This is the flavor I will forever associate with true shakshuka. The combination of the homemade cheese and the rich tomato sauce creates something extraordinary — the taste of that perfect tomato: vibrant, naturally sweet, beautifully acidic, and full of character. Every bite feels alive. Enjoying this breakfast while taking in the stunning view makes the experience even more special. When such beautiful scenery is in front of you and a shakshuka of this quality is on your table, breakfast becomes something truly memorable. If Michelin inspectors ever happened to visit this corner of paradise, I have no doubt this breakfast alone would earn a recommendation. One of the most memorable culinary experiences of our trip.
