平日は自分の好きなR&Bやhip-hopが割と流れている。土日はEDMが流れているイメージ。周りのナイトクラブが閉まった後に大体いつもここに来ます。パタヤの中では一番のナイトクラブだと思います。

– DJ Nils van Zandt, Republic Club Pattaya – March 15, 2026. Where to even begin? DJ Nils van Zandt actually managed to clear a packed dancefloor in under ten minutes – a kind of reverse achievement that probably only he is capable of. The music selection was an acoustic journey through the worst moments in music history. Songs that even radio stations abandoned 20 years ago were played here with alarming enthusiasm. The transitions? No, transitions would be too generous a word. It was more like a brutal collision of completely unrelated tracks – as if someone were randomly skipping through Spotify playlists while accidentally sitting on the volume knob. The timing was catastrophic. Tracks were cut off before they even had a chance to build momentum. The bass was either deafeningly loud or completely absent – evidently the concept of an equalizer has somehow passed Niels by. The absolute highlight: he played the same song twice – once normally, and once apparently by accident in reverse. Nobody was sure if it was intentional. It wasn’t. I’ve heard many DJs in my life – in great clubs, dodgy bars, at ten-year-olds’ birthday parties. Nils van Zandt is the first time I’ve actively left a venue not because I was tired, but to protect my ears. Republic Club, you can do better. Nils clearly cannot.
