Wow! Got a recommendation from the hotel we were staying at to try Jammi- not at all disappointed. Cool restaurant nestled in Niseko village - bit of a distance away from the Hirafu slopes. It I’d definitely worth the trip over. The vibe and decor in this place is sooo cool. 70’s Japanese infused hippie feels. I had to buy some of the merch from here. Importantly th food did not disappoint in the slightest. My wife had the chicken and veggies with the original curry on a medium. I tried the the special - lamb curry but I went with the level 21 spice. If you are a spice lover like me don’t be afraid to go high. Taste amazing - a lot of places that offer a very hot spicy base ( Ichiran.. hmmm) has this really strong possibly raw chilli powder flavor that is jarring. Not the case here. Seasoned perfectly -veggies and proteins cooked perfectly -umami to the max. I can’t think of a better dish to eat in the cold Niseko winter. It surprises me to say this - but this is possibly the most satisfying meal I’ve had in Japan. Solid 10 from me - compliments to Jamii Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
