We stumbled across this bar on our first night in Pai. We have been every night since, such lovely staff, and amazing environment to chill and listen to live local artists every night, would recommend anyone to visit if you like a chill vibe. The most relaxing bar we visited in Pai! Great music, friendly service, and the setup is so pretty. The manager even brought me a bean bag over so that I could fully lie down! What a gem. Price per person: ฿200–400 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A Living Prayer Under the Trees – Jazz Up, Pai We didn’t come here to leave a review. We came here to sit, to breathe, to listen. But sometimes a place deserves more than stars. Jazz Up in Pai is not just a bar — it’s a living space. Seven great Mother trees rising above you. Hammocks swaying. Soft lights through the leaves. Music that doesn’t just play… it moves through you. The musicians here don’t perform. They pour their hearts out. Every note feels alive. I’ve heard bands all over the world, and I’ll say this honestly — some of the music here sounds better than the “real thing.” There is so much heart in it. And that’s something I’ve noticed about Thailand as a whole. Whether it’s the woman making mango sticky rice, the street vendor cooking khao soi from a motorbike, or the band playing late into the evening — people here do what they do with their whole heart. There’s devotion in the details. What makes Jazz Up special for us? They welcomed our family of five — two adults and three young kids (7, 5, and 2) — into a space that could easily have felt “adult only.” Instead, it felt like community. Like we belonged. Sitting under those trees, listening to that music, you can feel something deeper. The trees are alive. The energy is alive. It’s not just a bar — it feels like a sanctuary of sound and soul. May all beings have peace in their hearts, joy in their being, and love flowing through and around us all. Thank you, Jazz Up, for sharing this space with us. Aho. Jason Whitehawk & family.
