Beautiful surroundings, yet the food service was extremely slow. We arrived at the restaurant at 5 p.m. on a weekday, when only two other tables were occupied. Within one‑and‑a‑half hours, only three dishes were served, including green papaya salad and fried rice — neither of which involves complicated preparation. The ice in our ice bucket had completely melted, and we still had three dishes outstanding. When we followed up with the staff, we were told the kitchen had not yet prepared our remaining food, or that our order might have mistakenly been sent to another table. Remaking the dishes would mean further waiting, and we had already waited more than 90 minutes. No explanation or apology was offered when we paid the bill. Overall, the experience was very poor.
