Delicious Kirin craft beer, and okonomiyaki was yummy too! However service staff were rude to us, especially one of the ladies who keeps folding her arms, also using her phone and pretending not to see us when we tried to get their attention to order. Understandable in a big restaurant but it’s a small space with all their customers seated in front of them. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₩20,000–30,000 Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

Jeok Sim is located in the Seogwipo Maiel Olle Market. We decided to eat here when we saw the long line-up of people waiting. I spoke with the hostess at the entrance. She spoke perfect English and helped me to login to the "CatchTable" app to make a reservation. The app would notify you by text or email when your seating is available. The market has ponds with benches that you can sit and wait. After about 30 minutes, we got lucky and were seated at the front where the cook charcoal grilled the food behind a glass window. It was like a dinner and a show. We ordered a lot of grilled meats (hamburger, tsukune, pork jowel, chicken skin) and vegetables, as well as a pickled octopus and olives salad, plus drinks. The prices were very reasonable. One of our many great dining experiences in Korea. Recommended and worth the wait. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₩30,000–40,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Walked past this spot on our first night at Olle Market and saw it was packed, so we decided to try it today—and luckily, we got a table for two right away! The restaurant space is really small, so it’s best to avoid bringing big bags or anything bulky. You can hang your jacket behind you. We ordered the grilled vegetables, two pork skewers, wagyu and chicken skewers, and an octopus okonomiyaki. The grilled vegetables were tasty, with the butter-grilled mushroom being a highlight! The skewers were hearty and meaty. We finished with the octopus okonomiyaki, which was quite filling for two. Beneath the layers of batter and bonito flakes, there’s a generous mix of cabbage and octopus. The octopus was slightly chewy, but still enjoyable.
