I told my mom to check this place out while she was in Daejeon, and she was so impressed that I had to come back with her to try it for myself. Honestly, when I first saw photos of the food, I thought—how good can eggs and greens really be that good? But everything was so delicious. I could honestly eat this every day. The rice was perfectly cooked and had an interesting texture and flavor- chewy and slightly nutty. We ordered both the buckwheat noodles and the bibimbap. When you order the bibimbap, they actually give you a small tasting portion of the noodles too—it’s slightly different from the full entrée version but still really good. The food is exactly what I love as a pescatarian—clean-tasting, not too salty, and full of perilla seed and oil. The perilla seed oil is made in-house daily, and you can really taste the difference in quality. Everything is simple but so flavorful. The place itself is very clean and bright. If you're looking for a vegetarian option for the bibimbap, you can ask for it without the salted squid. Just note that the seaweed soup served on the side does contain dried pollock, so it's not fully vegetarian. The owners and staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. My mom and I wanted to buy a few bottles of their house-made perilla seed oil, but they only sell a limited number each day, and they were already sold out. We came back the next day just to get some. If you’re planning to get takeout, it’s best to call ahead. You can also reserve their perilla seed oil by phone. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
