* edited for clarity on the experience Awful experience. Would not recommend. I made a reservation on Friday, May 8, and clearly stated that I needed outdoor seating because I would be bringing my dog. I followed up to confirm the reservation over the weekend and repeated that I had a dog and required outdoor seating. At 8:45am on May 10 — the morning of the reservation — the cafe finally called to say they did not actually have outdoor seating available. During the call, I clarified my understanding that since there was no outdoor seating, I would be allowed to bring my dog inside instead, and the staff member said yes. However, when I arrived for the reservation, I was told I could not bring my dog inside after all, and that I would instead have to sit at a public table outside while the cafe served me there. The communication throughout this process was extremely poor and inconsistent. It was especially disappointing as I was dining with my elderly grandparent, and the entire situation could have been avoided with proper communication much earlier. Overall, this was a very unpleasant dining experience. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Hi Sarah. We've never been pet friendly at one north and don't have outdoor seating either. Our manager has worked there for years and wouldn't have given you the wrong information deliberately. He either heard you wrong or you heard him wrong. We didn’t ‘turn you away’ as you’ve stated - we just can’t seat you in a cafe that has no pet licence. You get the difference right? We explained this all to you nicely when you arrived that there was an obvious miscommunication - it’s disappointing you still chose to go down this route but I guess I can’t always expect the best out of people.

Jimmy Monkey Café is a great spot for brunch and coffee. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, making it a nice place to catch up with friends or enjoy a quiet meal. The Chicken Avo Sando and The Hulk was amazing. Coffee was smooth and well-made too. Service was friendly and attentive, with staff making us feel welcome throughout. Overall, a pleasant café experience with good food, good vibes, and worth visiting again. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
