This place is most famous for the Sungei Road laksa, which has a perpetual long queue. This time went there to try other stuff. The Xiao Di roast was pretty good, though need to go back for the roast duck. Guy was extremely efficient in taking orders and customer relations. Also had a small black carrot cake, which was better than expected. To finish off, the fried snacks stall said its otak curry puff was signature. Small for 2.40, but indeed packed with otak and some prawns. How small? See the pix. And there was a boiled quail's egg instead of a quarter boiled hen's egg. If ever you're in the neighborhood, can try these; notice the econ rice also had a long queue, so it appears gone are the days when you only come here for the laksa!
