Really good Yakitori spot. Skewers were juicy, nicely grilled, and full of smoky flavor. Loved the chicken skin and the chef’s handmade tsukune meatballs the most. Friendly chef and staff, cozy atmosphere, and overall a great place for drinks and a relaxed dinner. Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We’ve dined at Jo Japanese Restaurant at Seletar Country Club a few times now, and the experience has been consistently good. The restaurant has a quiet, calm atmosphere that’s perfect for a relaxed and unhurried meal. During our recent visit, we had the chance to meet the boss, who was incredibly warm and hospitable. He even treated us to sample several different types of sake, which made the evening feel extra special and personal. Food-wise, the tempura is a must-try - light, crispy, and not oily. Another highlight is the meatballs, which are handmade in-house rather than processed. You can really taste the difference, juicy, and flavorful. Overall, this place truly feels like a hidden gem for Japanese food, good sake, and genuine hospitality. We’ll definitely keep coming back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
