There are many restaurants in Pyeongtaek that sell food from various countries. At Tongbok Market alone, you can taste food from all over the world. In addition, as the US military bases in Yongsan and Uijeongbu moved to Pyeongtaek, many places selling American food, including hamburgers, opened in Anjeong-ri, Pyeongtaek. Two years ago, on my way home from Pyeongtaek, I went to Anjeong-ri in hopes of finding some hamburgers. There were several hamburger restaurants, but I chose one of them and went in. In other places, the people working were all foreigners, but here, the only ones were Korean. Rather than suffering through severe English fluency on my first trip, I planned to quickly eat a hamburger and head home before the road got clogged. The hamburger I ordered had well-melted cheese, a thick patty, and the bun was good. The rice cakes looked good and the hamburgers even tasted good. It was tastier than the hamburger I ate in downtown Seoul. Since then, it has become my go-to place when I want a burger on my way back from a business trip. There is no separate phone number, and it is located in front of the main gate of the U.S. military base in Anjeong-ri. It is easy to find as it is an uncomplicated shopping street.
