I ordered two beverages, sweet lassi and bandung dinosaur, but noticed that the menu did not display any pricing. Based on typical expectations, I anticipated a cost of around $2+ per drink. However, the total came to $8, which was higher than expected. Would recommend confirming prices with the staff before placing an order to avoid any surprises. In terms of atmosphere, it reflects a standard kopitiam setting. Given this, the pricing feels somewhat disproportionate to the overall dining environment. This is a 24hr place. It gets really busy and crowded at night, so best to go during lunch or in the afternoon. Their mutton steak is good but beware of the chilli padi. If you can't take too spicy, do tell them when you order. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $1–10 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Was at KNS Suriya Eating House for dinner around 7.45pm today. Ordered indian rojak (2 pcs potatoes, 1 fish cake, 1 tauhu). The potatoes tasted off; it was like sour and just not right. Asked the indian server to come over and told him about the issue. He went to the rojak rack and tasted a piece of the potato himself. He nodded and agreed that it had turned bad. No follow up, no service recovery and he did not remove the balance of the potatoes on the rack. The 2 pieces of potatoes which we ordered were left untouched other than those that we have tasted and spat out. Went to settle the bill. The short indian guy had the nerve to charge $10 for 1 plate of mee goreng and the rojak. He did not say anything about the potatoes. When I brought up, he says "ok, $9". I asked if they are still offering those spoilt ones on the rack and he answered "ok ok..." and walked away. Really bad attitude! I agree with some of the reviewers that the hygiene and service level of this place is left to be desired. Also, I had a few previous experiences when I was almost scammed by the food bill. You have to double confirm with them when making payment, ask them to list the items and prices. As my experience may have dire consequences eg food poisoning, it would be appropriate for me to write to the relevant authorities to check out if their food is fit for consumption.
