Kamitora 神虎麵商店 (大角咀店) is honestly one of the best ramen spots in Hong Kong, and it’s the kind of place that can genuinely surprise you—even if you’ve eaten ramen in Japan. The overall quality here is consistently excellent: the broth is full of depth, the noodles have great texture, and everything tastes carefully balanced and well-executed. One thing I really appreciate is how well they control the saltiness. A lot of ramen in Hong Kong can lean too heavy, but Kamitora gets it right—flavourful without being overly salty, so you can actually enjoy every sip of the soup and finish the bowl without feeling overwhelmed. They also have a monthly special edition, which keeps things fun and gives you something new to look forward to. Sometimes the special is truly outstanding, and sometimes it’s more “just normal,” but even then the baseline quality is so strong that it still feels worth it. Overall, this is a ramen shop I’d happily revisit again and again—reliable, satisfying, and easily on a level that rivals (and in some cases beats) plenty of well-known spots in Japan.
