Visited Kappou 3 years ago and their dinner Omakase completely blew my mind. Every dish was beautifully crafted with premium ingredients, and what made it special was that every course felt like it had its own story to tell. This time, I came back for their lunch Omakase and once again, they exceeded my expectations. Watching the preparation itself felt like part of the experience.. seeing fresh negitoro tuna paired with unique elements and techniques right in front of us was honestly fascinating! Every dish had its own surprise factor and kept us excited for what was coming next. Special kudos to Chef Aeron Choo for making the experience even more memorable. She was incredibly warm and friendly, surprised me with a birthday cake and song, and even gifted me a bottle of sake, such a thoughtful touch that made the whole experience feel extra personal. I also really love the renovation of the space. The ambience feels calm, elegant, and intimate, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. You can really feel the authenticity and attention to detail throughout the experience. All the chefs are well trained from Japan too. This made the whole experience even more authentic! If I could give 6 stars, I would. Every dish, curated intentionally with fresh ingredients. The taste was exactly what the dish is suppose to portray, with homemade sauces & tofu made it a surreal experience. The price is justifiable if u appreciate the craft, the time and hard work that is needed to create not only a meal, but an entire course. Chef Aeron is always a blast to be around, ensuring guests are happy, feeling taken care of & ensuring to give that homely and professional Omakase chef vibe too! Thanks to the team taking care of everything else as well! Food is unique, different from any other Omakase, and always hit the spot. I come here for lunch & dinners, perfect for hosting & appreciating your favourite people! Cheers to more good times at Kappou.
