食事以外は最低でした。 食事の場所は2階で隠れ家の様な感じで素敵。その後が最低の接客、コースメニューでしたが一人のスタッフは料理の説明をせずにテーブルに置いていく、食事をしている時に次の料理を運んできたが 私たちがまだ食事中だと持ってきた品を見える所に置いて扉を開っぱなしで戻って行き、その後冷めた料理を出された。コース料理なのに順番が違う。バックミュージックのが止まっても知らない顔(ポータブルのスピーカーが一つ)。会計もテーブルでは無くわざわざ私達が、下まで降りて会計、その時食事中で口をもぐもぐ。一人2000バーツを払う価値は無し、大事な人と大切な時間を過ごしたい人には向きません。. Phenomenal dinner! Absolutely 5 10/10! Found this restaurant when searching around the interwebs for interesting food in Bangkok. Read a few reviews and actually found a great food review on YouTube about Kate and her restaurant explaining how she’s taking Thai flavors and elevating them in her dishes. Though the dishes aren’t traditional, they are a different take on traditional flavors and EVERYTHING was flavor perfect, so well balanced & on point. Textures, sauce consistency and dish ideation were incredible. It’s tough to pick a favorite, really! If I had to pick just one item, I couldn’t! My TWO favorite dishes were the stuffed chicken wing and the mango sticky rice. The stuffed chicken wing was so full of flavor, so tender and juicy and I love the way it was served skewered. The mango sticky rice I could have eaten 10 of these. The mango was perfectly ripened, served with pandan custard over sticky rice. The three mixed together so well for a delicious dessert flavor explosion. It was quite possibly the most delicious mango sticky rice I’ve ever had. Next level. Loved the small and private setting. It was relaxing and the three of us were able to comfortably chat without much noise, even after a larger table joined the dining room. I had made a reservation 2-3 weeks out for our dinner. I’m not sure how necessary the reservation is but better to be safe and get on than try to walk in and be turned away. We will absolutely come back to Kate’s Place! She’s serving a different menu weekly? Not sure how often the menu changes but it changes often enough that I’ll definitely come back to see what Kate’s got cooking in her kitchen. FANTASTIC!
