Went for lunch earlier today. Walked in and took a few minutes to find a host or waiter, which is ok, as is low season, midweek, and lunch - that said it’s a 100 seat restaurant and I was the only diner. Then greeted by a very bilingual lady, my guess is the owners daughter back from an overseas university, that made me feel more comfortable - but then never saw her again and was handed over to local staff Waitress as you’d expected was trying to be very helpful, smiley and pleasant - no English, which is also ok. My concern was that it took 30 minutes to cook a chicken steak, fries and vegetable - vegetable cold on arrival at the table, chicken was obviously frozen and then deep fat (not pan fried) The so called chef looked about 19 and appeared to be the car park attendant as anyone can drop a frozen piece of chicken into a deep fat fryer. Obviously I paid in full as I don’t think it is these guys fault This venue gets good reviews, my guess is that the real chefs are on the evening shift when they are significantly busier, and I expect that their Thai food is way much better than my experience with western today My only advice is to have at least one trained chef on at lunch. Nice venue, reasonably good service. Probably much better for an evening meal Price per person: ฿400–600 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Excellent location. Ample parking and elevated seating makes for an enjoyable experience. Waitstaff attentive without being intrusive.Very much Thai fusion menu choices and served dishes showed heavy western infuence while retaining Thai flavors. We were informed that current chef is Thai national trained through hotel chain.Meals were of excellent quality and adequate size portions. We have eaten at 12 different establishments in this area over the past 4 days. We are an Australian and Thai couple who run a busy restaurant in Australia.We would recommend Khunkhao station over all others we have tried, pricing was higher than other establishments however this was reflected in the quality of servings.
