Lemon and Garlic is a cute restaurant with an intriguing menu. But when my watermelon drink was delivered (an 18 minute wait after ordering) I asked for my as-yet-to-be-delivered food to be packaged for take-away. I was surprised at the very small portion size of the ฿120 hummus (photo attached for reference). The hummus itself was tasty, albeit overpriced. The compulsory 10% service charge is not commensurate with the poor service. I say this while being fully aware of the difference in many “western” expectations vs South Asian reality. I do not expect speed, but imposing a mandatory service charge implies at least a bit of efficiency. If you just can’t live without a Mediterranean brunch, make a visit. Be prepared to spend ฿500 or more per person and devote more than an hour of your time. You’ll find better value elsewhere.
