A great spot to hang out, drink or get some food! I stumbled across Paul's Restaurant and Bar by chance. I had been out for a late lunch and headed back to my accommodation. It was Songkran, or Thai New Year, and one of the traditions for this is water fights. Outside of Paul's some of the staff, guests, and one of the neighborhood kids were armed with water guns or buckets/bowls of water. As I approached the little girl gave no mercy and soaked me with the water gun in her hand. While I was laughing and enjoying the cool water in the hot heat, some of the guests started to talk to me. One thing led to another, and soon I was hanging out for the next 3 hours. I ended up returning for a bit every day. They had great suggestions on things to do on the island and the food was amazing. The Green Curry Pizza was suggested to me the second day for a late lunch and it was some of the best pizza I've had! The day after that I had the Red Curry dish and it was just as good. Upon hearing that I love spicy food, the chef worked to make my food spicy enough for me - and I'm happy to say he succeeded! As I approached the end of my time on Koh Lanta, I was talking to them about how I needed to arrange my ride to the airport and they helped me arrange for a mini-bus (aka van) to the airport. They also suggested that I leave at noon at the latest for my 5pm flight - I was a bit skeptical about that one, but it turned out for the best as it took over 3 hours to go the 1.5 hours to the airport due to the wait for the Ferry. I was picked up from the restaurant and they let me hang out there a bit even though they weren't open yet. Overall, I came and stayed for the company - the food and drinks were an added bonus though that didn't disappoint! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Highly recommend Paul’s restaurant the owner Paul is so welcoming & the food is the best we had in Klhong Kong we tried many beach restaurants but after finding Paul’s we ate there every evening for the rest of our stay.Food is freshly cooked & every dish we tried was delicious & portions are very generous. We have been visiting Thailand for 10 years & can honestly say this is the best food we have eaten I highly recommend the Massaman curry(so tasty) & Tamarind prawns. Keep up the great work Paul & staff we look forward to seeing you again next year :) Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ฿200–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
