Great to see the city from a calmer, more elegant side of dining. Kinnaree feels upscale but still approachable. The dishes arrive in large portions and are filling. I ordered a Green Curry Chicken and a Seafood Fried Rice, the latter actually suggested by the waiter. I agreed almost automatically, then realized the portions might be too much and asked if we could make one of them half-size or cancel the fried rice. The waiter reassured me, “No, no, it’s not big,” but when I called him back a minute later saying, “I really won’t be able to finish it, I’ll also have a beer,” he replied that the order slip had already been sent and couldn’t be changed. That left me disappointed; the meal ended up being far too large, and I couldn’t eat even half of it. Still, the green curry sauce was really good, rich, balanced, and aromatic, though the large orange-skinned Personally, Thai eggplants inside had a slightly citrusy and unusual taste I didn’t enjoy. I found myself drinking most of the curry instead of finishing the solids. Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ฿600–800
