Good food and good presentation. However the service by the service crew, Becky, was unacceptable. My friends n I ordered the lunch sets that came with 2 sides. One of my friend ordered 2 sides of salmon, and i ordered 1 side of salmon. Apparently, they placed all our sides tgt on one serving plate without informing us at the onset and my friend took the first plate, thinking it was hers. After much waiting, we asked for my side and then Becky told us that they placed all our salmon pieces tgt. We explained to her that we were unaware of this and the previous male server did not inform us either. She simply just rolled her eyes and walked away. No apology was given either. Even though she begrudgingly gave us the side eventually, I feel that her body language was really uncalled for since we were not trying to scam her of a miserable side dish but letting her know of the situation.

I waited till today to write this review in respect of the CNY festive period, in order to not spoil the joyous & harmonious chi. This review is with regards to the inadequate service provided by the manager of the restaurant. She has totally destroyed the very good service I have previously experienced at the restaurant. Before CNY I came by looking to have a quick lunch, as usual. The restaurant was not packed on that weekday and yet I was turned away because she would not split the two joining single tables to allow me to have my lunch and insisted that I sit at the curve of the counter table (which incidentally was where the aircon above water was dripping from time to time.) I asked her politely if I could sit at the unoccupied table she flatly said NO. I could not believe my ears. On a previous experience the serving staff (bespectacled Chinese boy) would without hesitation quickly seat me for lunch. No matter how good or delicious your food is, if you have the wrong staff in service that's a BIG MISTAKE in the F&B industry. As a regular diner at Kinsa Sushi for the last 7-8 months I've experienced more good service with the waiting staff than from the not up to standard so-called manager at the restaurant. In fact when I first dined at the place, she made so many mistakes that I thought she was a newcomer under training and was shocked to find out later that she is the manager of the restaurant (but apparently her staff can do a better job than her, anytime!). I managed to finally speak with one of the bosses over the phone where I told him his manager lied that all the bosses were overseas and refused to let me speak with him. The boss who took my call he immediately realized the problem, apologised sincerely and hope I would return. I have no problems returning because all the other staff have been friendly and really serve well. I just think the restaurant cannot have someone who has not performed up to standard as the manager, it truly spoils the image of the company. This review is to bring the attention to the boss who spoke with me that maybe you might like to reassess your appointed manager's service attitude. She has earned your restaurant a bad service reputation unfortunately, as far as I'm concerned. I might not return for as long as she's still your manager. If you were in my shoes, would you still return to a restaurant that turned you away because the manager's service attitude sucked?
