A very good izakaya close to my home and work, no need to head into the city. Menu is very extensive, covering sushi, sashimi, classic izakaya dishes like grilled and fried skewers, as well as various cuts of meat for DIY grilling. There are also hot pot options like sukiyaki and nabe. Drinks lean toward alcohol, but non drinkers can go for refillable green tea, which is standard in taste. Today I tried a variety of grilled items included chicken, pork, chicken skin, and quail egg. Chicken skin was especially good, perfectly crispy and so tasty I had to reorder, both salted and teriyaki versions. I also ordered a salad to balance the richness, and ume cucumber was fresh, tangy, and very refreshing. Grilled miso hirame was another highlight. Tender, smooth, and well balanced in flavor. Overall, prices are reasonable. Service is very good, and the atmosphere is enjoyable. Definitely a place worth coming back to.
