Koola Bar is a relaxed, social bar with a clear Aussie-bar influence. There are two Koola Bars, linked to the Australian bar scene, and the vibe is easygoing, friendly, and very open for meeting people. The staff are genuinely great: professional, helpful, engaging, and attentive. You are welcomed with free refreshment towels and free nuts, which is a nice touch and something you don’t get everywhere in Patong. Drinks are good and on the strong/boozy side. Cocktails are fun and playful — some are served in provocative, body-shaped glasses, which adds a cheeky party element. From the menu: Cocktails around 200 THB Draft beer (Singha) 100 THB Bottled beers (Chang, Leo, Heineken, San Miguel, Tiger, Corona 200 THB) around 100 THB Overall pricing is still acceptable for the area. What really stands out is the entertainment factor. The staff actively involve guests: Free dice games Free Connect Four A lot of interaction and encouragement to play and socialise It’s very easy to connect with other people here, and the atmosphere stays light and fun. Important to note (and the reason for 4 stars): Staff do sometimes directly ask guests to buy them a drink. While this is part of local bar culture and usually friendly, it can become costly and feels a bit too direct. A softer hint would be more comfortable. Also be aware: ringing the bell costs 1,000 THB, so only do that if you fully understand it. Aside from that, everything else was very enjoyable. A laid-back, social bar with friendly staff, fun games, good drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere. Recommended if you want a relaxed night and don’t mind the social bar culture — just be aware of the drink requests. Price per person: ฿800–1,000 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I have spent a lot of money at this bar and get on well with the staff and owner Adam. This week we have learned that the staff member named WA WA has been bad mouthing my wife and myself and we are very disappointed with this. We will never go to this bar again, and I have advised my other family members to do the same. As customers, all we need is respect, as we have actively supported this bar for 3 years. I feel sorry for Adam, but I will not stand for this bad manners treatment. Price per person: ฿1,000+ Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
