With a sleepy wife suffering the sort of jisaboke (時差ぼけ/じさぼけ) that could tranquillise a woolly mammoth, I stumbled into Kochi Beer Laboratory alone, trepidatious and with a phone buzzing with tornado warnings. I was safe This spectacular bar is the Shikoku outpost of The Grimsby Town FC Nihon Supporters Club. We chatted about the Mighty Mariners, craft beer and the oddity of Tony Gallimore’s right footed son for hours. The standing bar is beautifully styled with a fantastic selection of Japanese craft beers. I enjoyed it so much I brought back my sleepy wife the night after until the dreaded jisaboke (時差ぼけ/じさぼけ) reared its ugly head again. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
