I really enjoy third-wave coffee and guided tasting experiences, so I was excited to visit Mameya - but it left me wanting more. The shop itself is quite small and extremely quiet, which made it difficult for our group to comfortably discuss the tasting notes together. There was only one staff member available (with another on break), and it took around 40 minutes for us to be served. While I understand that careful preparation takes time, the long wait combined with the very quiet atmosphere made things a bit uncomfortable. Some of our group ended up stepping out with the kids so as not to disturb others. The menu is extensive, and we appreciated the variety - we tried three filter coffees and one espresso. However, none of the selections particularly stood out in terms of flavour, especially given the price range. Overall, the experience felt a bit overly structured and, at times, slightly pretentious in its presentation. I can see how it might appeal to those who enjoy a highly curated approach, but personally, I tend to prefer a more relaxed and classic coffee experience Meal type: Other Price per person: $1–50 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Showed up at 5:45, salesman told us to hurry to order because the last order is at 6. It won't take us that long. Ordered a large chocolate for $50 that i finished in two sips. Chocolate was okay but a little cold. Won't really recommend. Service: Take out Meal type: Other Price per person: HK$50–100 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

I am a fan of Koffee Mameya (Tokyo) Was so excited to try it in Hk They kept their coffee standard I ordered a yuzu ice coffee and it was so good Wasn’t too sweet. Would go back everyday if I lived in Hong Kong. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
