Came all the way here because I saw reviews on XiaoHongShu for their Perilla Ginseng Chicken Soup, but the experience was a total letdown. The Service/Order Mix-up: The server who took our order was entirely preoccupied with explaining that rice wasn't included with the chicken soup. Because of this distraction, she completely failed to submit our order correctly to the kitchen. We ended up being served the standard Ginseng Chicken Soup instead of the Perilla version we actually wanted. The Food: Even putting the wrong order aside, neither of the soups we received (the Ginseng Chicken and the Spicy Fish Roe Soup) tasted impressive. Both were entirely mediocre and lacked depth. With both poor service and underwhelming flavors, this place is definitely a "one-and-done" for us. Save your time—will not be back. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30

A friend told me to try this Korean restaurant if I am in the Beauty World area and that there is usually a line on weekends. I had an early weekday dinner at 5pm. There was only one other table occupied. I had the Bulgogi Hot Pot. The beef was thinly sliced and tender but there was only a very small portion of beef in the hot pot. The soup was a little too sweet but that's just my personal preference. The waitress from Myanmar was very attentive and helpful in topping up my appetisers. The restaurant is sparsely decorated and there was a big TV screening K-Pop on a continous loop. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Had a really hearty and satisfying meal at Korea Family Restaurant at Bukit Timah. The staff were warm, friendly, and very helpful, which made the experience even better. Ordered the pork with cabbage and jjajangmyeon ,both were comforting and well-flavoured. The side dishes were also delicious and nicely done, not an afterthought at all. Overall, a solid spot for a comforting meal. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $40–50 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
