Kway Teow Roo – A Hidden Gem for Lunch If you're looking for authentic local food away from the tourist crowds, Kway Teow Roo is a true hidden gem. I stopped here for lunch, and it exceeded every expectation. The bowl of noodles came with a rich, crystal-clear broth packed with flavor, perfectly cooked pork, handmade meatballs, crispy fried garlic, fresh spring onions, bean sprouts, and crispy wonton pieces that added a wonderful crunch. Every spoonful tasted fresh and comforting. On the side, I ordered their roasted pork with crispy wontons and a sweet soy-based sauce. The pork was incredibly tender and juicy, with just the right amount of caramelized flavor. Simple ingredients, prepared with real skill. The quality of the food was outstanding, portions were generous, and everything was served fresh. This is the kind of family-run place that locals love—and after one visit, it's easy to understand why. If you appreciate authentic street food, don't miss Kway Teow Roo. One of the best lunches I've had, and a place I'll gladly return to.
