Newly opened on Tung Choi Street, LA Restaurant & Dessert Bar is operated by a former hotel chef. My friend and I visited at around 5pm. We were very lucky as the restaurant was relatively empty at that time, and we were able to get a table. We heard that they got full booking that day and could only accept walk in after 8pm. So if you want to try it out, you better make a reservation to save a seat!We came for the Soft Shell Crab Risotto served during dinner time. But since lunch was still served at 5pm, we decided to grab a lunch set, and then another dinner set after 6pm.This Baked Seafood with Cream Sauce, Mozzarella Cheese & Spaghetti was truly delightful! Once it was served, we could already smell the delicious baked cheese! I couldn’t wait to dig in. And it tasted as good as it looked and smell! The dish was baked right to the point, in which not a single spaghetti was overly dry nor crunchy. The seafood was very fresh. You could taste their distinguish taste instead of frost. The Mozzarella cheese was definitely a highlight. I had never had it in a baked pasta dish before and it opened a whole new world for me! It was so cheesy and yummy!!!And this is the Risotto with Soft-Shell Crab that we came here for. It did not disappoint! The soft-shell crab was freshly fried, not greasy at all! So delicious! And the risotto was very tasty! I just couldn’t stop digging in, the mushroom, the sauce, the rice, they were all at the right portion to make a great dish.There was a soup and a drink that came with the set. I forgot to take a picture of the Truffle Cream Soup as it was so good that I went straight to drinking it once it was served :PI got this Black Cow as drink. The only complain is that the scoop of coffee ice cream was a bit tiny….It tasted so good that I would want more of it!When we asked for the bill, we were surprised that it costed less than HKD$90 per person! So we pay HKD$100 as tips for the amazing and good service! It’s rare to have waiters and waitresses that are polite, helpful, and attentive!
