Very nice, calm place and a walk away from a quiet beach, pier and view of the mountains with great sunsets. This place would have been a gem in its prime, it appears a little forgotten now however I found it to be relaxing, quiet, with a lovely pond area in between the chalets. The room was clean, a very large bathroom with shower. Bed was comfortable. No fridge, however water in the room. The wifi wasn't working, which was annoying. It's not good to advertise wifi, then say a "storm broke it the day before" - the restaurants around and tour companies all denied any storm! Breakfast, chicken porridge, was good and most welcomed. There are many restaurants and beach cafés 3km back along the main road in which is a nice walk along the beach also, picturesque walk. Be honest to guest, get the wifi working, a little love and care and the tourist will come back. The Agoda discounted price fairly reflected the accommodation at this stage. Thank you. Service: 4

It seems Laytrang Pakmeng is still recovering from the pandemic. You can see where it was once grand. We liked the small, separate, semi-modern, tiled bungalows with a very large bathroom. There was no refrigerator and no water kettle but the breakfast was good. They have separate breakfast sets that cater to western clients and Thai travelers. The staff was friendly and it’s a convenient location right across the street from the Pak Meng Pier. It was a nice quiet stay. Service: 3
