There were only 3 tarts left when we dropped by the shop, so it’s highly recommended to order online to avoid disappointment. The ones we got were decent, nothing amazing, but keeping the rating fair since they are not their best sellers. Will try again next time.

I visited Letart today and had an absolutely delightful experience. I ordered several tarts but the Yuzu Earl Grey and Pistachio Chocolate tart are my personal favourites! The Yuzu Earl Grey tart had a beautiful balance of citrusy brightness and the subtle floral notes of earl grey, with a crisp buttery crust. The Pistachio Chocolate tart was rich and indulgent, with velvety chocolate paired perfectly with the nutty creaminess of pistachio, giving every bite a satisfying depth of flavour. The ambience of the shop was cosy and welcoming, service was friendly and efficient, adding to the pleasant experience. Overall, it’s a must-visit for tart lovers, and I’ll definitely be returning to try the rest of their menu!

I’ve always been tempted to try tarts beyond the usual offerings, and LE’TART offers a great variety of artisanal tarts that look both pretty and temptatious, making it hard to resist picking one. I decided to go with the Lush Harvest — a visually appealing tart topped with fresh berries and delicate floral touches. The presentation was definitely eye-catching, with vibrant colours that made it look as good as a premium café dessert. However, the actual experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. The biggest disappointment was the tart shell. Instead of having a crisp, buttery bite, it was soft and soggy — almost as if it had absorbed too much moisture. This took away the contrast that a good tart should have and made the overall texture feel flat. The mixed berries layer leaned too heavily on the sour side. Instead of complementing the custard with a gentle tang, it overpowered the overall flavour, making the tart less balanced and enjoyable. More importantly, it felt like the tart missed the essence of what makes a good tart — a crunchy, flaky shell paired with a neutral custard base that allows the fruits, flavours, and overall design to shine in harmony. On top of that, the Lush Harvest felt overpriced at $14, especially considering that they don’t have a proper place to enjoy the tarts, unlike other patisseries such as TWG. The Tiramisu Mille-Feuille was equally disappointing. Instead of the classic layered structure, it was presented in an arched form with a hollow centre to contain the tiramisu cream. While visually different, this design compromised the essence of what a mille-feuille should be. More importantly, it completely missed the crispiness. The pastry lacked the light, flaky texture and was not crisp at all, which took away the defining characteristic of the dessert. A proper mille-feuille should consist of multiple thin layers of puff pastry that flake apart delicately with each bite, creating a contrast against the cream. At $8, this version felt extremely exorbitant given the execution. While LE’TART’s concept and designs are tempting, the execution on this visit fell short, particularly in terms of texture, flavour balance, and overall value.
