Was recommended LECOQ by a fellow Guinness lover, and it did not disappoint at all. 3 for $30 promotion, with a single ala carte at $12, this place allows you to enjoy your Guinness without feeling the guilt of splurging in comparion to other places, which is what enjoying a night of drinking should be about! Additionally, its definitely a big plus that the food was on point. Ordered the Somen, Mentaiko Fries and Fish Tacos: Somen was legit and tasty, very umami and fresh, definitely a 10/10. Fish Tacos was well made and fish was even still juicy when biting into it; watch out for the drip from the other end when you are eating it! Mentaiko Fries I can see the effort when the chef aburi the mentaiko, but the servings of mentaiko can be larger to balance out the full amount :) All in all, a 5/5 place but the music was a little too loud for conversation and interaction, especially if your seats is right next to the speaker then all the best to your ear drums. Bar with very extensive menu, even got hotpot!? And food quality was super good. And price was very very reasonable. Highly recommend!! Wagyu Sando Medium Rare: Very thick but very tender (it’s wagyu, duh). Bread & Katsu layers are thin but crispiness & flavors (mayo, katsu sauce) are distinct. Hua Diao Fish Soup: Deep comforting savory broth. Thick fish slices that are fresh, amazing for a non-fish shop. Steam Scorched Rice Medium Rare: Hotplate perfectly seasoned with black pepper & garlic. Beef was soooo tender. Press the rice down for that crispy scorched bottom. 200g of very good steak with so much delicious rice in CBD? SOLD. Drunk Milo (Milo, Baileys, Rum): Basic but perfect, the dinosaur (i.e. extra powder topping) completed this drink. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: SGD 40–50 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
