A unique café with Northern European, simple, Scandian touch (almost sterile). Definitely not cozy, but somehow "special". It is not one of those cafés that you enter and you immediately feel comfortable and cozy. Also not those kind which have these extravagant 19th century chandelliers on the floors and antique style furniture that give the store this certain nostalgic atmosphere. However, this store has its own style as well. I do appreciate that the tables are not put together so close to each other. Some café owners try to squeeze every additional table into the store to maximize their profit. But then, customers unvoluntarily get to listen conversations from the next table. I was able to work with my laptop and do things on my smartphone in all peace without getting disturbed. The next tables are actually more than 1m away from each other. The coffee size is quiet small, but it is delicious. The basque cheese cake is the best cheese cake I have had so far in my life!! And this comes from someone who was born and raised all his life in Europe. I basically grew up with German and French bakery, which is the best in the world. German grandmothers undoubtly make the best cheese cakes ever! I also spent quiet some years in the US and also tried the best best cheese cakes in London as well. Well, it also depends on personal taste. But they definitely know what they are doing when it comes to cheese cake. Regarding the "service", i must agree that it is not the "finest". I would not say that the staff is "unfriendly". I do not expect all the world to be super friendly to me anyways. What i expect however is to be treated with *respect*. I rather had the feeling that it is more a move of maybe lacking a bit of "fine feeling" and empathy. One example. I am Korean. We do not have huuuge conversations to "strangers" as we do in English, such as "Hiiiii, how are you doing???". So, this is the premisse. I went into the store and sat at the long sofa. In Europe, we actually do not mind if someone else comes and sits next to us later on. Anyways ... the waiter came up straight to me and said "how many people are you here with?" And i just said "Ah, i am here alone." Then, he said "You know this seat is for groups. Would it be ok if you left this seat for larger groups and choose another seat?" And i said "oh yes sure. No problem." and i just chose another seat. Now, 1,5 hours have passed and stil no one is sitting there but never mind haha. I totally understand him. But it probably would have made a difference if he would have just added a "Annyeonghaseyo" (hello) as a starter ... and THEN ask me to move. Another example. One girl just came in. And the first thing he said to her is: "Are you dining in?" It is common sense and basic custody to first say "Annyeonghaseyo"(hello) or "Oso Oseyo"(please feel welcomed) in Korea when a customer enters a store. I worked as a waitress myself when I was a student as a side job. So, I know what i am talking about. Believe me, these small things do make a difference. So, i do get where all these negative comments come from. But I must say that it is probably not racism or rudeness. I rather think it is something else. I think it is not on purpose. Just lack of fine feeling. Don't take it personally please. (Update): Was there today again to have their cheese cake. I do not know why they served me a wooden disposable fork along with my cake and also served my ice coffee in a paper cup??? If i sit in a café or restaurant, I also pay to receive adequate cutlery and have my drinks served in a proper cup. Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

Don't really understand the negative reviews there. I don't speak a word of korean, but always feel welcomed here with the staff quite engaging and helpful. One of my cozy top spots in the area Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
