LaVASARA 別邸 is a hidden gem in Asakusa that perfectly combines traditional Japanese charm with creative Italian cuisine. From the moment I walked through the distinctive circular entrance, it felt like stepping into a peaceful retreat away from the crowds surrounding Sensō-ji and Nakamise Street The restaurant is housed in a beautifully preserved traditional building, with exposed wooden beams, warm lighting, and a cozy atmosphere that creates a unique dining experience. The interior feels both elegant and welcoming, making it an ideal place to slow down and enjoy a meal We ordered the A5 Yonezawa Beef Bolognese with Japanese sansho pepper, and it was outstanding. The rich, flavourful meat sauce paired perfectly with the pasta, while the subtle aroma of sansho added a distinctly Japanese twist to a classic Italian dish. The lemonade and oolong tea were refreshing companions on a warm afternoon.
