These types of places rarely get good reviews. Because they’re convenient and fast. Which means people come in, get out, keep moving. A good Labab won’t get positive reviews because it served it’s purpose as a fast meal restaurant. People only leave reviews when something has gone wrong. Which is why I want to take the time to leave this place a really good review. Because it’s genuinely one of my favorite gimbap places in Seoul. It is always clean when I come here. The tables are clean, the chopsticks & spoons are clean, the floors are clean. The ladies who work here are very kind and polite. Even though I am a foreigner with lots of tattoos, they treat me very nicely here. The food is well prepared. You can tell the cook pays attention to the cooking, because it isn’t sloppy. I came here one night because it was the only place open and I have came back SIX times since then. Because it genuinely made a good impression on me. These convenience restaurants never get any recognition, but today they get a 5 star from me I totally recommend it and even more so late at night. Gimbap is one of the options that vegetarians can choose in Korea along with bibimbap, and Labab is one of the restaurants that have quite good gimbap. They have ‘salad gimbap’ in this branch. Not too expensive (5000won), tastes very fresh. You could also try to request basic gimbap with no ham, fish cake and egg using translator. Wouldnt say their food is exceptional but would recommend!
