A simple, no-frills neighbourhood zi char place that delivers comforting, home-style flavours. We tried the fried prawn rolls and crabmeat tofu—both were decent, as expected from most zi char joints. The crabmeat tofu leans towards a lighter, almost soup-like profile. Seasoning is quite gentle, but you do get a good amount of crab flesh, which adds a nice natural sweetness and umami. The French beans give a bit of crunch, balancing out the soft silken tofu. The fried prawn rolls are well executed—crispy on the outside with a golden brown finish, and a filling that has a nice texture with bits of juicy prawn. Service was warm, fast and attentive. Ambience gives out a family-run place vibe. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: SGD 10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Visited the Siglap outlet since the Geylang one has more negative reviews on food hygiene. The last reviews on food flies was 5 months back which I assumed that it has been addressed. However, this issue is still persistent and is a negative experience considering that this is a chain and has a long history. The food standard is not consistent. 3 egg vegetable: extremely blend, you can taste the ingredients separately not as a dish. Curry fish head: strong coconut taste but mild curry flavor Marmite pork rib: sauce is lacking but is relatively the better one out of the meal Price per person: SGD 30–40 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

Went on Saturday. Completely deserted. We were only the only patrons. Ordered fish head curry, marmite pork ribs and har cheong chicken wings. Enjoyed it all. Even my dear old hub, who really didnt like chinese food. But he did enjoy this place. Added advantage was it was so nice n quiet. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: SGD 10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Prawn Paste Chicken
