This used to be my favourite restaurant and I would often bring new friends to try it out. However, they changed owners in the past week and the dishes have completely changed. The lamb dumplings used to be so good, but it tasted weird when I went tonight. The lamb fried rice used to be my favourite dish, but it’s completely different now and doesn’t have the same taste at all. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back. Lamb and Mutton were never commonly eaten meats in Han Chinese cuisine; as compared to say the almighty pork.. However, over the centuries given the vast geography of China that stretched out across the “Silk Road”, it’s easy to see how & meats that were popular amongst the residents of Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang; would eventually start influencing the palates of those especially in Northern China.. In fact, according to traditional Chinese medicine, is an excellent meat for warding off the cold and keeping warm. It has functions of warming and nourishing the ‘qi’ and blood, strengthening the spleen, and stimulating the appetite. Today, Lamb/ Mutton restaurants have become increasingly popular and there are just so many ways to prepare the meat - even for those who might fear its “gamey” smell.. Lamblicious is one of them - like the “BubbaGump” of Sheep & Goats, they have a wide range on their menu. Their ️ Mutton Fried Rice however is a standout for me! Full of “wok-hei”, and with the right balance of saltiness and spice. Do remind them that you want it spicy as per the menu though, their default seems to have become non-spicy probably as a result of too many local regulars requesting “not spicy”.. The pan-fried Lamb Dumplings were amazing as well, crispy on the outside but bursting with juices from the inside! However, the Lamb Offal Soup may not be for everyone - I enjoyed the soup and certain parts like the tripe, lung and intestines but there were also parts that tasted funky even for me.. Anyhoo.. check it out! Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100–150
