Impeccable Svc from Miss Er and her team. There was a bit of a lunch rush and the staff from their Slappy Cakes came over to assist. Which I thought was a ingenious manpower efficiency drive. Them in their yellow tees helped brighten and funk up the restaurant too. And none of them missed a beat providing us with table service too
Ordered only one dim sum item but the 腐皮蝦卷 was fried to perfection
The 麻婆豆腐 was very fragrant and the sauce wasn’t watery at all even when we left it for half an hour before returning to it
The highlight was the 大蝦糖醋脆生麵. The fragrance from the burnt noodle was very aromatic. A very interesting noodle dish
Had dinner with a girlfriend, so being 2 ladies, we cannot order much. But, every dish we had were awesome!
My favourite dish was the flaming pineapple beef, which was Super tender & the sweetness of pineapples totally infused into the meats.
We also tried a claypot mixed mushroom dish which was yummy! We tried the Chao Da Noodles with Prawns, very good too!
We ended our dinner with a delightful fried durian as dessert. The crackling candy, dried coconut strips and the thin batter around the durian were perfect together! Love it!
Last but not least, I must commend on the excellent service by the server auntie. She’s very sweet, attentive & patient to give introduction to the dishes & recommendations on the awesome dessert! Thank you auntie. Please keep smiling & your excellent service! ????
It took a while for me to warm up to the new Lok Kee concept but May’s gentle persuasion together with Joyce’s hospitality converted me. I have since hosted 2 important dinners in Lao Beijing this year for 30 guests & they simply loved my recommendation of the restaurant.
Last evening’s dinner was excellent. My guests were delighted with the Mermaid fish & the dramatic presentation of the beef in pineapple.
Expect to be back for more soon. Keep up the good work. ????????????????
