This pan-fried bun specialist is quite interesting. The signature buns are incredible—served piping hot, super juicy, and packed with soup. However, the Dan Dan Noodles and Shredded Chicken Cold Noodles were very disappointing and lacked any character. I’d definitely come back for the buns, but I’ll skip the other dishes next time. On the plus side, you get free-flow soy milk if you order a set or spend over $60, which is a great deal. Just be aware that the seating is very cramped and the stools are quite narrow. Also, keep in mind they only accept cash! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $50–100 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

The highlight at Lau Hing Kee Pan Fried Buns isn’t actually the pan-fried buns—it’s the Xiao Long Bao.
