I haven't had the chance to visit a Laya restaurant in close to 15 years, but I've really longed for their Dan Bing. For non-Taiwanese note that their menu has English, which makes ordering simple for us. Has the chance since our rental was close by to visit again, and it did not disappoint at all. Their Dam Bing is exactly as I remembered it. Thick slices of ham and a tortilla style wrap. It was perfectly crunchy and tasted amazing. On top of that, I had their cheese and egg sandwich. It came with lettuce, tomato, egg, and cheese, on what I swear is the largest slice of bread I have ever seen. It was a solid part of the breakfast. Beyond that, I had the hash browns as part of a combo with coffee. First, the hash browns: These are perfect in every way. Small, triangular, extra crunchy. Exactly the same as 15-16 years ago. But, the best part for me was the coffee. This was a perfect coffee, strong, aromatic, and I haven't had coffee that good this whole trip. Overall, this still remains one of my top breakfast places. If you're in the area looking to have a good breakfast, I would highly recommend Laya. Meal type: Breakfast Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
