Favorite cafe in Bangkok for their hot chai latte and smashed avocado on sourdough toast. It normally comes with one poached eggs but I add an extra and the ratio is perfect. Lazy Toby Review: Gourmet Quality, Boutique Pricing. Lazy Toby, situated conveniently within the Villa Market premise with easy direct access and plentiful parking, presents itself as a stylish brunch destination. The nicely styled interior and a clientele that clearly favors healthy, upper-class living (as suggested by the presence of yoga-attired patrons) confirm its status as a boutique urban cafe. The Food: Quality and Execution. I was drawn in by social media images of their enticing sandwiches and chose the Roast Beef Sandwich on Focaccia . The execution was undeniably great: the roast beef was tender and well-seasoned, the caramelized onion was sweet, and the melted cheese was perfect. The inclusion of pickled onion was a necessary and successful touch, cutting through the sweetness and saltiness of the beef and cheese for a balanced bite. The Value Judgment. However, the enjoyment was tempered by two observations: the food arrived in just a few minutes, which was quick, but the portion was quite small for a sandwich priced over ฿300. My take on Lazy Toby is straightforward: the food is great, featuring high-quality ingredients and thoughtful flavor balancing. But for my budget, the price is steep. This shop caters perfectly to its specific, high-end demographic who prioritize quality and ambiance over sheer volume. While I appreciated the flavor, the cost-to-portion ratio makes this a luxury indulgence rather than a regular brunch spot for me.
