***A forgettable stop in an overcrowded scene*** Lilla Taipei is yet another addition to the ever expanding lineup of new-American portfolio from the same group that brought Fridays and Texas Roadhouse. Unfortunately, it fails to pass mediocrity. While the menu gestures toward authenticity with chef’s unique approach, the execution feels uninspired with flavors that neither honor tradition nor take bold enough steps toward innovation.
