Recently I watched a video about this restaurant from the YouTube channel Mill Milk and they spoke very highly of this place. In the video, they showed a fish dish where they baked a whole fish inside a tin foil with white wine and It instantly grabbed my attention so I made an effort to come here and called ahead to make sure they have it before I come. This dish was very disappointing The fish was almost tasteless. Yes, there’s some hints of white wine but there’s not much else. The most disappointing part is really how the fish was prepared before it was cooked. Almost a third of the fish has a bitter taste to it. To me, this indicated that the fish was not cleaned properly and some of the guts got spilled over to the meat. The fish also did not taste fresh, given that I just ate a fresh fish congee in the morning that tasted 10 times better but costed only 1/6 of the price of this dish, this really did not make me feel very good Given that the chef of this restaurant used to be a teacher of a cooking school and in the Mill Milk video, they mentioned how much he has a passion for cooking, this does not seem like something a chef of this caliber will cook and serve to his customers. It’s really hard to clear this bad taste in my mouth (literally) when the service of this restaurant was almost non existent and the waiter who served us seem to have a bit of an attitude. They also got our order wrong for 2 separate dishes. I spent over $1000 tonight and they insisted I have to go out to the counter to pay for the meal like It’s a wonton noodle place and yet a 10% service charge is added? Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
