Consistently good over the years, they have friendly service in a nice and relaxed ambiance. The dishes are colorful and well thought out, albeit the menu does not change whatsoever. Little Cove Espresso is a well-liked café that offers only breakfast and lunch, and we visited for breakfast. The food is decent, but the menu setup is quite unusual. Instead of serving complete dishes, they provide a basic plate and charge extra for almost every addition — from bacon and salmon to certain sauces. While this “build-your-own” style might appeal to some, it seems more like a way to increase the bill rather than improve the dining experience. Personally, I find this pricing approach a bit unfair for a casual café. The atmosphere is lively but quite noisy. During our visit, the place was filled with young children and babies, so there was constant crying and shouting in the background. It’s not the sort of environment where you can relax and enjoy a quiet breakfast, especially if you favour a calm start to your day. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly and helpful, doing their best to keep things running smoothly despite the busy and noisy environment. Overall, Little Cove Espresso may suit those seeking a trendy and lively café with a young family clientele, but if you’re after a peaceful breakfast or a simple dining experience without extra trimmings, this might not be the ideal spot.
