We stopped at Little Tiger while visiting Merlin Beach and really enjoyed the experience. The location is probably the first thing you notice — the restaurant sits above the southern end of the beach with fantastic views across the bay and out towards the Andaman Sea. We only stopped for a light snack and ordered the spring rolls and a drink, so I can't comment on the whole menu. What we did have was delicious and very nicely presented. The staff were also extremely friendly, polite and helpful, which added a lot to the experience. If you're already at Merlin Beach, you can walk up the concrete steps at the southern end of the beach. You can also reach the restaurant by road from behind, where there is parking. I'd definitely try to get one of the tables facing the water if one is available — the view is a big part of what makes this place special. I visited while researching places around Patong for the free travel guides I write for TravelWith.org, and Little Tiger is somewhere I'd happily visit again. Next time I'd probably come later in the afternoon because the position overlooking the Andaman Sea should make it a great place for sunset. Little Tiger earned my 5 stars because of the awesome views, the friendly, polite and helpful staff, and the taste and presentation of the food we had. This place is awful. Despite the great view the people here are extremely rude and hostile. Completely messed up our order and gave us another table’s order. Food is subpar as well. I wanted to give this zero stars but I can’t so I gave it a one.
