Ok so this isn't the same porridge food stand reviewed by Cort a year ago... But I did find this one a bit closer to the 7/11, which also has a fried bread stand next to it. Good local patrons, open early for takeaway. Prices are similar and still excellent value: Porridge - 20/40 Bhat depending on number of meat choices Fried Bread - 10 Bhat for the large round ones with filling Potato ball cake - 10 Bhat So much local food to choose from. For me it was also interesting to see Muslim women selling Chinese porridge! Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

Our group had been eating at the tourist buffets each morning (300-500 Baht). I wanted to try some of the local food. I stumbled across this cute lady who was selling porridge and fried bread to the locals. She doesn’t speak much English and my Thai is terrible, but I had little problem getting a large bowl of porridge and a bag full of fried bread. My best guess for the prices: 50 Baht - porridge with eggs, chicken and fixings 2 Baht - Fried Bread (each piece) 5 Baht - icing (put on fried bread —> donuts) For 80 Baht I filled up on a delicious meal and had a bag of Thai donuts for the walk home. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: ฿1–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
