Western‑style Light Bites at a Corner Restaurant Overall vibe: Willing to try new dishes, but the overall execution is pretty average Hand‑Pounded Double Angus Beef Burger with Fries ($98) Rating: (2/5) Seeing “hand‑pounded double Angus” on the menu made it sound interesting and a bit fancy, so I decided to give it a go. In reality, the beef was quite dry and a bit tough , with heavy seasoning that came across as quite salty; after a few bites it felt a little too salty . The bottom bun was buttered, which added a bit of aroma and richness, but the surface wasn’t crispy and the whole thing lacked textural layers—no “crunch‑meets‑juicy” contrast at all. The real highlight was the fries . They used thick cut potato wedges, fried until the outside was crispy and the inside soft and fluffy, with a very pleasant texture. On their own, the fries could easily score around 4 stars . The beef and bun, however, really need improvement . --- Satay Angus Beef Burger with Fried Egg Rice （$78） Rating: (3/5) This dish leans a bit more Hong Kong‑style , pairing an Angus beef burger patty with a fried egg and rice. The satay sauce is served separately , so you can add as much or as little as you like, which gives you a fair amount of control over the flavour. The satay is quite pronounced ️, with a mild spicy warmth and a nutty aroma, smelling great mixed with the runny egg and rice. However, the Angus beef patty itself isn’t very special; the taste is not much different from a regular beef burger patty . Overall, the burger is dry and salty with good portion size but only average texture, while the satay burger rice scores thanks to its flexible sauce and local‑style fusion feel ️.
