A Chinese restaurant that serves exceptionally fresh and clean ingredients, with beautifully balanced seasoning true to authentic Teochew cuisine. Every dish is delicate yet flavourful, allowing the natural taste of the ingredients to shine through — exactly the way traditional Teochew cooking is meant to be. The seafood tastes incredibly fresh, the soups are light but rich in depth, and the overall cooking style feels refined, comforting, and not overly greasy. A very satisfying experience for anyone who appreciates authentic Teochew flavours and careful craftsmanship. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Mai Iam Restaurant is one of the oldest restaurants on Banthat Thong Road, serving Thai-Chinese comfort food. I ordered three dishes: 1. Deep-Fried Seabass with Fish Sauce – A simple dish but hard to perfect. The fresh seabass was fried to perfection — crispy on the outside and juicy inside. 2. Green Peas Stir-Fried with Minced Pork and Black Olives – A creative mix of two classic dishes. It pairs beautifully with boiled rice and offers a nice balance of complex flavors. 3. Minced Pork and Sour Plum Soup – After enjoying flavorful dishes with salty and sweet notes, this soup refreshes your palate perfectly. The restaurant feels like a trip back to the 1980s — I really love this place.recommend for all guests who need a real classic restaurant. Price per person: ฿400–600 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
