I had an amazing stay here and honestly felt it was incredibly worth the money. In fact, I’d even say it’s very cheap for what you get. The homestay is run by a local family who live on the property, so you really get to see how people on the island live. The area is still quite remote, and the electricity isn’t fully stable yet, but that’s part of the charm. There’s no AC, but I stayed in late February and the nights and early mornings were actually cool. The room is built from wood or bamboo, making it naturally breathable. I really enjoyed experiencing this type of traditional housing in the local climate. It can be warm during the day, but you’ll likely be relaxing outside or at the beach most of the time anyway. The family is incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. I chose the octopus-pulling activity, which was so much fun and a great way to learn how they catch octopus. The stay is extremely affordable considering everything included: three meals a day (with a seafood dinner freshly caught from the sea!), pick-up and drop-off at the old town Pier, and one fishing activity. Highly recommend if you want an authentic, memorable island experience. Service: 5

The bungalow could be a bit cleaner. There were some stains on the blanket, I understand that this is a homestay located on an island. the service was okay. But The boat pickup was a little late (almost one hour), The food was fresh and very tasty, which I really enjoyed. Service: 2

Best experience for our kids! We absolutely loved the local lifestyle here. Everyone, including the owners, was incredibly friendly and helpful. We went fishing, snorkelling, squid fishing, kayaking, and even rode motorcycles around the island ,Ma Malee gave us the fish to fed the eagles, Pa took our kids out on the kayak to get crabs, saw hornbill birds, bats. such a fun adventure for the whole family. The food they provided was superb and more than enough. Highly recommended for families wanting an authentic island experience. Service: 5
