Today, my 12-year-old son wanted to play at Harborland, a place he usually visits alone. I attempted to purchase tickets at the ticketing machine, but the staff informed me that I needed to present my son’s passport before entering. I was puzzled by this requirement, as my son is over 145 cm tall, and we have never shown our passport at any other branch of Harborland, even though we have visited the Bangkok branch multiple times over the past two years. I presented my son’s passport, and he provided me with a QR code to purchase the tickets. Upon entering the park, the staff at the ticket counter requested that I show my passport again. I was perplexed by this repeated request, as they could easily verify my son’s age and year of birth. If they genuinely wanted to check our identification, they could have done so once, and there was no need for the ticket counter to ask again. Furthermore, if the ticket counter wanted to verify our identity, they could have simply allowed us to enter and present our passports once. We are not illegal or criminal individuals; we are simply visitors who wish to enjoy the park. It is not within the rights of the ticket counter or any government official to inspect our passports without a valid reason. I was deeply frustrated by this incident, and as a result, we decided not to play at Harborland and instead returned home.

Lives up to its name as the world's largest indoor playground. This place is huge. Endless slides, ropes, ball pits, you name it it's in here. Huge art room and dedicated smaller kids playground. Has a small area to purchase water and snacks. Huge sitting area but to be honest chairs are designed for kids not adults.

A few procedures to go through to enter. A large variety of slides and towers to climb. But it doesn't really contain anything to occupy a teenager - no lasers, just a large version of a child's indoor play centre. Cafe is ok although overpriced and very uncomfortable seating (little stools). And our grandchild got food poisoning from eating there. Consider better value for money elsewhere.
