Since I had to wait a while before getting on the express bus, I looked for a cafe on Google Maps. Then I found Minde Kitchen. It was a bit of a walk from Awa Ikeda Bus Center, but I found it right away. Is it a renovated old storehouse? The shops in the area are either closed or deserted from the Showa era. This shop has a stylish interior and feels like a Reiwa cafe. I ordered Japanese black tea (there was an explanation of the tea leaves used for green tea) and Sudachi's rare cheesecake. It's called a sweets set. The price is also reasonable at 800 yen. Advance payment required. It was my first time drinking Japanese black tea, and it had a pleasant taste. Sudachi's rare cheesecake also had a strong Sudachi scent in my mouth. It was too good to take a breather. I walked around Ikeda Town, and it seems like there are a lot of shops like Minde Kitchen that can attract young people and foreign tourists. However, I also stopped by a bakery and a yokan shop, but I felt that the shops that were used by the locals were cold to outsiders. Awa-Ikeda is a major transportation hub. I thought that if we created a place where people could get off their train and take a break during their journey, by blending old and new businesses together, more people would come.
